Coaching Suggestion:
An effective training method for developing level four spins is to have the skater complete the intended spin three times in a row without substantial rest with the choreography before and after the spin and have them try to make the third attempt the best one. This is helpful because as mentioned earlier most skaters tend to rest their muscles in spins which makes them slow and poor quality. It is also true that most skaters can demonstrate a high quality level 4 spin in isolation but when they are fatigued they may have trouble. By having them do three in a row, the coach is simulating the feeling of tired muscles without having to repeat the entire program in order to train the quality of execution.
